Denlow Information

The Denlow Neighbourhood is located within the Windfields Neighbourhood within the York Mills Neighbourhood. Boundaries are York Mills Road to the North and South to Lawrence Avenue and West from Leslie Street to just east of Bayview Avenue. This neighbourhood was constructed by several builders including Sullivan Homes, Victoria Woods, and various custom builders. As partly bordered by Windfields Parklands, the homes in this area are varied between condo townhomes, ranch bungalows, executive bungalows, two storey homes and huge luxury homes, some of which are on oversized properties. Many overlook the ravine area of Wilket Creek. There are also a couple of rental apartment buildings located at the corner of Leslie Street and York Mills Road. The Neighbourhood is named "Denlow" because of the local public school--Denlow Public School--a popular public school that draws families into the Neighbourhood.  York Mills Collegiate Institute and Ecole Etienne Brule are the local public High Schools.

 The Banbury Community Centre houses a building in which there are community programs running throughout the year including yoga, fitness, dance and arts programs, also has tennis courts and access to the park and trails. The Community Centre is in the middle of the Denlow Neighbourhood. Susan Macarz, Broker with Re/Max Ultimate, has taken many classes and hosted events at The Banbury Community Centre. She also has had clients that have both bought and sold in the Neighbourhood. Just south on Banbury Road, south of The Banbury Community Centre is Edwards Gardens. This picturesque area is dotted with the Don River, lush perennial flowers, trees, and is the location of the Civic Garden Centre which is Toronto's foremost and finest public gardening and resource centre.
